Με μεγάλη χαρά ο Δήμος Αθηναίων θέτει υπό την αιγίδα του και στηρίζει τη νέα έκθεση “Athens International”, η οποία προσδοκάται ότι θα συγκεντρώνει, φέτος και τα επόμενα χρόνια, ένα διεθνές κοινό υψηλού επιπέδου από το χώρο των επιστημών, της πολιτικής και των επιχειρήσεων.
Η νέα έκθεση είναι η μοναδική, στην ευρύτερη περιοχή της ΝΑ Μεσογείου, |
που καλύπτει τέσσερις δυναμικούς κλάδους της οικονομίας (άμυνα, ασφάλεια, τεχνολογία και πολιτική αεροπορία), διανοίγοντας μεγάλες προοπτικές για την προβολή της ιστορικής πόλης μας, την ανάδειξη της σύγχρονης φυσιογνωμίας της, αλλά και για την προσέλκυση επενδύσεων και την ενίσχυση του συνεδριακού τουρισμού.
Με ιδιαίτερη ικανοποίηση διαπιστώνουμε ότι κύριο μέλημα της Οργανωτικής Επιτροπής, σε συνεργασία με τη διεθνή εφημερίδα “International Herald Tribune”, την αγγλική έκδοση της εφημερίδας «Η Καθημερινή» και τον όμιλο “Economist”, είναι και η προστασία του περιβάλλοντος. Η απόλυτη τήρηση όλων των αυστηρών κανόνων περιβαλλοντικής μέριμνας από τους Οργανωτές και τον Διεθνή Αερολιμένα Αθηνών «Ελ. Βενιζέλος» αποδεικνύουν ότι μπορεί, πραγματικά, να υπάρχει οικονομική ανάπτυξη με σεβασμό στον Άνθρωπο και τη Φύση.
Εύχομαι κάθε επιτυχία στην έκθεση και το επιστημονικό συνέδριό σας και είμαι βέβαιος ότι, όπως συμβαίνει ήδη επί 100 περίπου χρόνια σε άλλες μεγάλες ευρωπαϊκές πρωτεύουσες, η “Athens International” σύντομα θα αναδειχθεί σε «θεσμό-γιορτή της πόλης» με την επίσκεψή της από πολλούς συμπολίτες μας και, κυρίως, τη νέα γενιά.

It is with great pleasure that the Municipality of Athens places under its auspices and supports the new exhibition “Athens International”, which is expected to gather an international audience of high standards from the sectors of science, politics and business for this year and for the years to come.

include four dynamic sectors of the economy (defence, security, technology and civil aviation), opening new avenues of opportunity for the promotion of our historic city and becoming a showcase of its modern culture whilst attracting investment and supporting conference tourism.
It is with great satisfaction that we observe that the Organizing Committee, in cooperation with the “International Herald Tribune”, “Kathimerini” English edition and the “Economist” group have placed the protection of the environment among their top priorities. The full compliance of the organizers and the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” with the strict environmental regulations in place proves that economic development can go hand in hand with respect for Humanity and Nature.
I wish every success to the exhibition and the scientific conference and I am certain that, as is the case 100 years now in other European capitals, “Athens International” will become an “event of the city”, which will be attended by many Athenians and the younger generation in particular.
